Melody Nehls

melodynehlsA native of Knoxville, TN, Melody began her training at the age of 3 with Irene Linn at the Dancers Studio. She also studied at the Studio Arts for the Dancer with Lisa Hall-McKee and performed as a soloist with the Oak Ridge Civic Ballet Association in various classical ballets. Melody also participated in programs with the Joffery Ballet School, American Ballet Theatre, University of South Carolina, and the Appalachian Ballet. She then attended the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, earning a BFA in ballet performance under Jiang Qi, Deirdre Carberry, and Michael Tevlin. While a UC student, Melody spent her junior and senior years in Nashville, TN dancing professionally with the Dance Theatre of Tennessee. Upon graduation, she moved to Lakeland, FL to join the Florida Dance Theatre under Carol Krajacic-Erkes for 2 seasons. She then joined the FrediDANCE Project with director Ferdinand De Jesus, working as both a performer and rehearsal assistant, presenting works across the state of Florida. Melody relocated to Los Angeles in September is excited to participate in her first season with C. Eule Dance! Additionally she dances for Adam Zivkovic as well as working as a model and teaching yoga.
