Chie Mukai

Chie Mukai started her ballet training at the age of five in Osaka, Japan. She began learning under Hiroko Oshiba. She moved to her career to the United States, and attended to Walnut Hill School for the performing arts in Boston, 2001. She also performed Passage, choreographed by Diane Noya, at Alice Tully Hall in 2003. She was accepted at The Boston Conservatory in 2004 with the Al& Pat Houston Scholarship, Conservatory Scholarship, and the Press Award Assistant Scholarship. At the Conservatory, she performed several significant modern rolls such as Brubeck, choreographed by Murry Louis, and the scarf dance of Dances for Isadora, choreographed by Jose Limon.She graduated with a B.F.A in dance, May 2008.
